Grounding rod
Copper-clad steel grounding rods are made by covering low-carbon steel cores with electrolytic copper of a purity of 99.9%. The copper layer and steel are closely bonded in molecular form, which gives them strong corrosion resistance. The low-carbon steel core is processed by cold drawing to a specified diameter. The material used for the steel core has a tensile strength of up to 600N/mm², so it can be installed to a considerable depth with the help of an impact hammer. The copper layer thickness at each point of Xinhesheng copper-clad steel grounding rods can reach over 0.254mm, ensuring that the grounding rods have a working life of more than 30 years underground.
The thread at the end of the grounding rod is rolled after the copper plating process. The steel and copper layers are rolled together in the thread, making the bond between the steel and copper at the thread extremely firm.
The grounding rod connection uses threaded connection to meet the requirements of EN50164-2 "Lightning Protection Elements (LPC) - Requirements for Conductors and Grounding Electrodes".
