Copper Clad Steel Grounding Round Wire

Copper-clad steel grounding round wire is the latest type of copper-steel composite grounding body, also known as copper-coated steel round wire / copper-plated round steel / grounding round steel. It is made by covering electrolytic copper with a purity of 99.9% or above on the surface of a special steel core using the most advanced continuous casting process. Its electrical conductivity is approximately the same as that of a copper rod of the same diameter, but the cost is much lower than that of pure copper, and the anti-corrosion performance is far superior to that of galvanized steel. It has many advantages such as good electrical conductivity, low resistance, few joints, superior anti-corrosion performance, convenient transportation, convenient construction, and high construction efficiency. It is the best choice to replace traditional grounding wire materials such as round steel, angle steel, and galvanized flat steel. The process of copper-clad steel grounding round wire and the production of copper-clad steel grounding rods is almost the same. Both are made by continuous casting process. The difference is that after copper coating, copper-clad steel grounding round wire is tempered using a large tempering furnace, which is softer compared to copper-clad steel grounding rods. During production, it can be made into a coil type and can be straightened on the construction site (the straightening difficulty of copper-clad steel grounding round wire with a diameter of more than 14mm is still relatively large, and it is difficult to straighten manually and equipment such as winches must be used) and bent, which is also consistent with the use of copper-clad steel grounding round wire often used in horizontal grounding electrodes. Copper-clad steel grounding round wire is divided into straight type and coil type. The straight type specification is generally 6 meters per piece, and the coil type specification is generally 100 meters per coil. Other length specifications can also be customized.
